Experiencing problems ordering your medication online

What to do if your ordering App/portal says:

“This item needs to be reviewed by the responsible clinician before it can be requested again. Please contact the clinician to arrange this review. The responsible clinician may be your GP or in some cases your nurse.”

Unfortunately, this is a stock message that at the moment we cannot change. We are transitioning to a Medication Review process where patients have all necessary monitoring (for example blood tests, blood pressure checks, weight checks) in their month of birth annually and an “online” medication review which can be completed here https://bmg.link/MedReview.

For some, more regular monitoring may be required, for example those on controlled drugs or high-risk medicines or with kidney problems that require more frequent monitoring. Please complete the online review linked above if you see this above message and this will then be reviewed by a member of the team who will be in touch to discuss further if necessary or will let you know once your medicines have been reauthorised so you can order more as needed.

Visit the Surgery

Please note that we are not able to accept requests over the telephone unless this via our 24 hour phone system, Patient Partner.

If you are not able to use our on line services, you can post your written prescription requests in the post box outside our practices. These will then be processed by a member of our designated prescription team.

Please allow at least 48 hours for your prescription to be processed. Once approved, we can send you prescription direct to your chosen pharmacy for collection.

For further information relating to the pharmacy, please click here.

Electronic Repeat Dispensing (ERD)

This means you can obtain further supplies of your medication from the pharmacy directly without needing to contact the surgery until the end of planned time scale usually 6 or 12 months. Please see the page below for more information.
