Improving Access for Patients
From Monday 11th November, the way we arrange your care at Beacon Medical
Group is changing.
Under the new system, all requests for GP-related care (including appointments) will
be dealt with on the day. In most instances, you’ll also get the care you need on the
day it’s requested – but by the end of the next working day at the latest.
The changes also mean you’ll find it easier to make an appointment and wait less
time for an appointment.
As well as changing the way we manage requests for appointments, we’ve
introduced an easy-to-use ‘Online Consultation’ system. If you choose to use
Online Consultation, you’ll still get the care you need that day (or by the end of the
next working day). However, it cuts out the hassle of calling the surgery (and dealing
with phone wait times) and helps you avoid unnecessary trips to the surgery.

The Beacon Medical Group is home to six GP surgeries; Plympton Health Centre, Chaddlewood Surgery, Glenside Medical Centre, Ivybridge Health Centre, Wotter Surgery and most recently Highlands Health Centre following a merger that took place in October 2018.
