Beacon Medical Group operate a Minor Injury Service from Ivybridge Health Centre.
How can I access the service
The Minor Injury Service is available to all.
Please call 01752 690777 and ask for the Minor Injury Service, the Patient Advisor will the be able to liaise with the service to ensure you meet the criteria. If you meet the criteria the Patient Advisor will book you a same-day appointment, avoiding any unnecessary waits.
If you are not a patient of Beacon Medical Group, you will be asked to complete a temporary resident form on arrival. This allows us to put your details on our system to log your attendance.

What are the opening times?
The service is open from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday
What minor injuries can you assess and treat?
We can assess and treat Minor Injuries such as:
- Injuries- Sprains, strains, injuries to hands
- Eye Injury
- Cuts, grazes and bruises
- Burns and Scalds
- Foreign body
- Insect/ Animal bites
- Head injuries where there has been no loss of consciousness
What minor injuries can you not assess and treat?
- The service does not have the facilities to X-Ray and recommend you attend the Cumberland Centre or The Dartmoor Building at Derriford hospital for the facility.
- Head injury with vomiting/confusion/loss of consciousness
- Loss of sensation at site of injury/unable to move injured body part
- Haemorrhage/major trauma
