Community Phlebotomy Update

From 04 January 2021 the Community Phlebotomy has moved to the Future Inn hotel on William Prance Road. The service is no longer provided at Home Park.

Patients who need to have blood taken should now visit Future Inn to attend the Community Phlebotomy Department.

This area has been set up to provide a service for patients who are shielding and to help reduce the footfall at the hospital.

GP patients requiring a blood test are also asked to use this facility.

There is no appointment necessary as this is a drop in service.

The Community Phlebotomy Hub is open Monday to Friday (closed on bank holidays), from 08:00am untill 16:50pm.

On occasion if the department is extremely busy it will need to close slightly earlier to be able to clear the queue before the last Blood Courier arrives.

Please note, for those under the age of 16 years, an appointment will need to be booked with Children and Young People’s Out Patients department on 01752 430927.

There is designated free parking available for phlebotomy service patients. Please remember to log your car registration details at the phlebotomy hub’s reception on arrival to avoid any problems.
