BBC Radio 4: The NHS and Productivity. Tonight

We will be featuring in a two part series with BBC Radio 4 as part of their In Business feature on The NHS and Productivity.

Presented by Louise Cooper the feature will look at how the NHS is facing a sustained squeeze, with an ageing population, the rising cost of new treatments as well as increasing patient demand and the impact of continued austerity. It will explore what the NHS can do to help them cope.

Louise will explore the NHS’ productivity puzzle – what does increased productivity look like in the health service? She meets clinicians across the country, including us, who are trying to do more for less. Can their efforts be replicated across the NHS and if so, will it be enough?

Catch the first part of this feature by tuning into BBC Radio 4 tonight (Thursday 12  January) at 8.30pm. It will be repeated on Sunday 15 January at 9.30pm.

The second part will be aired at 8.30pm on Thursday 19 January and repeated on Sunday 22 January at 9.30pm.

Both parts can be downloaded as podcasts once it has been aired by clicking this link.
