Adverse Weather – Patient Notice – 28th February 2018

Patient Notice

28th February 2018

We have been working throughout the day to ensure the safety of patients and staff at all of our surgeries in Plympton and Ivybridge which have been affected by adverse weather. Our priority has been to ensure we can offer patients a continuation of service during the next few days and we have been working hard to plan our services and keep the surgeries open.

Wednesday 28th February 2018

We have taken the decision to close all of our surgeries at 6pm this evening. This does mean that the planned evening clinic at our Plympton Health Centre will not go ahead. We have already made contact with affected patients to re-arrange appointments.

Thursday 1st March 2018

Following weather advice from the Met Office of worsening conditions tomorrow, we have taken the decision to close our surgeries at 6pm tomorrow. This does mean that we will not be running the evening clinic in Ivybridge Medical Practice or the evening clinic at Plympton Health Centre. All affected patients have been contacted and offered a different appointment.

We will of course keep updating you and will let you know if we make any changes to the above plans. Unfortunately it is difficult to predict how the adverse weather will impact our surgeries, but please be assured that we are doing everything we can to ensure patients are able to access our services.

If you do require an urgent appointment at any of our sites, please telephone your surgery in the normal way.

When visiting one of our sites please take extra care when using our car parks and paths into the surgery.

Stay Warm!
